Some of the biggest players in the history of the piano was known for their expertise in jazz. Technical support and a strong dependence on the ability of the musician to improvise makes jazz piano styles are harder to learn. Musicians remarkable in and of itself, but also provide a backup for the acclaimed singers as Billie Holiday and Big Joe Turner. Association with Count Basie and Ella Fitzgerald is historically significant musical. The album 1963 the two facts together is remembered by critics as perhaps the biggest record of his career. Count Basie recorded with Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Tony Bennett. This match-up even more credibility to jazz as a separate genre. The evolution of jazz, has many changes in recent decades. There was controversy within the music community for the merger of many different kinds of music with jazz. Some purists viewed as “weakening” the art form. Other musicians and jazz fans see as a culmination of many kinds of music, blending rock and watch it as just another variant commonly known as “fusion. Contemporary jazz artists have brought jazz back all in favor of the public in the 21st century. Today the great jazz pianists such as Diana Krall, Harry Connick Jr. and Norah Jones to support the living proof of the number of albums sold. While some debit their work as “pop” jazz, many believe that they serve to keep jazz alive in the new millennium.
