I made a big mistake to purchase this DVD. I thought it would be a famous Broadway musical to commemorate the purchase of the commemorative edition DVD. Well, to my knowledge, this musical was a horrible, horrible turd. Granted I do not like musicals, animals, or Broadway, but I thought this would be a blow. Well, the only thing getting a shot now ME. . . . because I need 30 CC of this crap fest Uncrapulator to get my mind. There is so much poop in my brains, now that it is difficult to understand the difference between when and where I think the game just move. I need to keep your head perfectly still, or my ears fart and shoot shit on my wall. is completely shameful. Sorry for the graphics, but I'm just trying to save themselves the embarrassment. Thank you, the musical Cats (Commemorative Edition). . . you ruined my vita.Detto this, the Jellicle Cats song is really great, and this DVD is worth watching just for the fun of that one song. For this reason I give this five stelle.Ma remember, if you do not want the head to burst into an Armageddon-style explosion of turds ONLY watch that scene. I'm not crazy, man. I had to stop writing three different times to the turds my monitor with a clean cloth. (Again, sorry for your images.) DVD No. stelle.Jellicle Cats song - Five Stars!Rating: 5 / 5

These people dress in costume and cats do live music on stage. The songs are from old stories that were written way back in the day. They did this stuff back in the 80s in the country at civic centers.Rating: 5 / 5

This is a bad acid trip nightmare flashback. Fair rented this movie with high expectations. I live in a small redneck town, a dead end, with a video store around the corner. . video store in town. Therefore requires a certain courage for male Cats rent. Thank God I only paid fifty U.S. dollars instead of fifty Smacker bad a ticket to the show itself. This is the kind of things that many men around saying things like "a Broadway show ... We have to make?" and makes Broadway look VERY VERY cheezy the passer. I ignored all the warnings and tried to stomach this video yet. . COMPLETE RUBBISH! T. S. Elliot's poems are beautiful on their own. . But along with the music and relax for one hours and half? Not good man, not good. I think I'm going to listen to the atmosphere of the pipes in my wall for one weeks to recover from this injury. . Warnings listen. . . or it could cost fifty U.S. dollars. . maybe more. The end?Rating: 1 / 5

The songs are stupid, the quality is terrible, the concept of cheese, what is it? It's Show is the longest freakin 'on Broadway called Cats! That and the Phantom of the Opera Musical are the two most hated, in my opinion and still a lot of money. This is just an insult to the Musical Theater. This is a disgrace. Just awful. And do not know why people say that this is so big and ultimately loving it. Watching this DVD is very shocking and everything on it is very disappointing. But I do not blame the people of this film, like Andrew Lloyd Webber. Ok, it was 1982 and Andrew Lloyd Webber is not a great success as Evita and is very desperate and dying for something to do in a musical. He goes and finds this book of poems and makes no attempt to change anything and only wrote the music and keep only what it is. Bad move. This is a musical with a short story lines that hurts, because the singers in this video are just killing and make it worse. It would be nice for a bunch of kids, but not for the elderly. I give them some credit because they have tried, but only for the video dosn't help anything. It only has peggio.Se you are looking for good music, I recommend you start a copy of this video of cat and not even think about buying the Phantom of the Opera "when you go and do something like Les Miserables and Miss Saigon or something. If you're a freak Andrew Lloyd Webber, I recommend Joseph, Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar. You know why Andrew Lloyd Webber dosn't make many photos? Watch this video and ask yourself!Rating: 1 / 5

I love this music and copies of all productions are available. In this case, I attended the concert and had great seats. I enjoyed, but not fun to watch it again. The reason was the look artificially young by George Hearn. Until the facelift and orange hair that looks like a bad copy of itself. The song is great, but I would recommend the original verson of the new film.Rating: 3 / 5

I was lucky in 1980 when I took a trip to New York and "accidentally" Got to see Sweeney Todd with Angela Lansbury and George Herne in the title roles! What an amazing show. I saw the Touring version of San Francisco that was not so good, but still a kick. This DVD has a great justice to the original and, even if I miss Angela, Ms. Laponie has a great job. I highly recommend this DVD and only hope that the original show is one days before republished.Rating: 5 / 5

I saw this show alive, and I also saw the broadcast on PBS. It is far superior to that of New York Philharmonic version on CD. Although Patti LuPone hams still on, she calmed a bit "in this performance. George Hearn is phenomenally great performance Sweeny Todd - much richer and more devastating than if it did in 1979. Neil Patrick Harris, who I saw in his role as Tobias 3 times, has never been better than here. Victoria Clark Johanna crispy. The only downside is Davis Gaines, the voice of nitrite is just annoying. If he a better actor, it might sound. But it's just not a very good actor. Yet the show is fantastic. We hope that one days of issuance of the original show on DVD.Rating: 5 / 5

Witness the story of Sweeney Todd. His skin was pale and his eye was odd. These are the first words of one of the most beautiful music ever written. It was written by one of my favorite musicians, Stephen Sondheim. E protagonist "one of my favorite artists, SweeneyAs George Hearn as Sweeney ToddThe Demon Barber of Fleet StreetI'm sorry. I could not resist. There are other great artists. Patti LuPone as Mrs. Lovett is brilliant. Personally, when I heard him sing "The Worst Pies in London", I have not "Lovett." E 'was more screaming than singing. The second time, everything was good. Yet I found later that the experience I am inclined to change their minds on the performance of an actor. For example, sometimes when I look Jekyll and Hyde: The Musical, I think, "Oh, God, David Hasselhoff smells of singing and acting. "Sometimes I think his singing is ok Hammy and could be less, etc., etc.. Lisa Vroman, from Hey, Mr. Producer, plays Johanna. His singing is divine, but his acting is not. I heard she plays Christine in The Phantom of the Opera Broadway. if it offers what (in his case) the dialogue with little chance to show, and I am surprised that his first line, I was greeted with boos, whistles and a storm of vegetables and water melons . I've never heard of Neil Patrick Harris until my dad told me about him. He was very good in this show, which is surprising, because if the band a musical with a singing star in T. v. role in case of Jekyll and Hyde, sometimes stink. I was introduced to Sweeney Todd, when I saw the cast recording of [a local library]. When I discovered more and more about the show. I discovered that the rate I saw licenses R. a photo exhibition in which the victim was slain and the blood flowed from the hood. Then I heard the concert version is shown t. V. Halloween (ideal). I wanted to know a little 'more about Sweeney Todd. The live taping in 1982 with George Hearn (again) and Angela Lansbury (the original Mrs. Lovett) of print, all I wanted was thbe CD and booklet. I decided to quit the show very special when Dad said it was not for me. I have fragments of the concert version in a store of Virgin Atlantic, in New York (ironically, I was in New York to see one another Sondheim show, Into the Woods.) I was a little 'confused by the spread of the orchestra. When I discovered that it would again be broadcast on television on Wednesday, October 27, 2002. I registered and saw it and realized that the content is reduced to a PG-13 rating. First, if your first experience with musicals in concert with Les Miserables, the actors are not up and walk for microphones to sing. Instead, it is more a staged version of the show, but that never sets, colorful costumes very low, (only the clothes show colored white dress of the purple robe and Johanna Judge Turpin), only key props (that would be crazy not to have had a razor Sweeney.) and a stage of red blood. To lower the sight of the cut throat, are the victims (in the Trio in Act II), dressed in robes of red blood. My preference shares are recurring song, The Ballad of Sweeney Todd, the scenes where the beggar wants to have sex with the performance of Anthony's Epiphany Sweeney (George Hearn is spectacular and that song surprisingly), the part where the judge says Turpin "When I offered myself to her (Johanna), has shown some restraint ... (of course there was laughter from the audience, because who wants to marry their parents), "the scene in which Toby takes his wig, and the line of Mrs. Lovett after the Epiphany:" It is all very well. "This shows that they something of a child. I also liked how the oven to bake is represented by a blood-red curtain. My favorite songs would (in the order they appear in) The Ballad of Sweeney Todd (and its many reprises), No Place Like London, the barber and his wife, poor thing, Green Finch and Linnet Bird, Johanna (all three versions), Pirelli's Miracle Elixir (due to the constant reference to some crap by Sweeney), the issue in which Pirelli blackmails Todd only his own money to pay (can someone tell me the name of that song?), Pretty Women ( and its reprise), Epiphany, A Little Priest (and its reprise) God, That is good, By The Sea (and its reprise), Not While I'm Around (and its reprise) and Parlor Songs. I was a little 'confused over the last two time Sweeney slit his last two gaps. When Sweeney slits throats first, third and fourth, the camera zooms in so confusing. After the last two slitting throat after the image is normal again, the bodies were nowhere to be found. This is my first complaint. My second complaint is Lisa Vroman quality. My third was like the first, the worst pies in London seem to shout, and, finally, Image Entertainment has again made it a tradition annoying not to have cameras follow at the foot of the stage. Hello, Image, anyone home? The orchestra is on stage. Maybe it's just that they are the tradition or perhaps the stadiums are built close to the public or even all that shows musical film to be too close to the front row. All in all, in the words of a certain character of Austin Powers in Goldmember, "This one's a keeper." You should do it. You will love it from the first chords of the body until the end. And check the Making Of featurette on the DVD.Rating: 5 / 5

Really! Nobody can replace Angela Lansbury as Mrs. Lovett, the grotesquely greedy. . . honest, I was so shocked lady portrait Lupon character could barely record the rest of the cast! His delivery was out of breath, and not effective. . . Why, they sounded quite up to different numbers, and his "take" on the delivery of the dialogue was so completely I felt nothing but pity for George Hearn (who was, of course, brilliant as always). While I usually like her (I loved her in "Anything Goes"), I have terribly disgusted with inept delivery Patti LuPone in this performance, and highly RECOMMEND anyone who has not seen this musical, amazing (and easily one of my many would ) to participate by Len Cariou / Angela Lansbury edition in 1982.Rating: 3 / 5
